Anna Bahnson, MD grew up on an acreage outside of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She graduated from Augustana University with a degree in Biology. Before starting medical school, she spent a year volunteering with adults with disabilities at a farm and garden program in Tacoma, Washington. She attended medical school at the University of South Dakota and completed her dermatology residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York. Dr. Bahnson has published research papers about public health initiatives to improve skin cancer awareness in rural areas. Her paper "Skin Cancer Education in the Rural Salon" won an Excellence in Public Health Award from the United States Public Health Service. Dr. Bahnson enjoys treating a variety of skin diseases in patients of all ages and prides herself in delivering individualized dermatologic care. Outside of work, Dr. Bahnson enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and traveling.
